"Rain to Moss"

I lost some hard earned money
I lost some drug trail friends
But we’re all losing paper flesh
And all we thought we had

This loss is normal – like any loss
Like wind to beaches – or rain to moss

I lost the tree of portraits
I lost my feel of sense
But we’re all losing veins and reins
Whoever runs this race

This loss is normal – like any loss
Like wind to beaches – or rain to moss

I forgot my piano lessons
I forgot the time I’ve spent
On forgetting losing drifting things
In this sick experiment

This loss is normal – like any loss
Like wind to beaches – or rain to moss
