"Bard's Woman in the Cool of the Summer Breeze"

As of today I start working on a new album and book titled "Bard's Woman in the Cool of the Summer Breeze". The album will contain 10 songs wrapped around my "Polish street style" acoustic guitar and vocals. Its cover artwork is by Spencer Robens. Here is the solo take on "King of Kreuzberg" (just voice and rhythm acoustic guitar), before other instruments are added to the mix (and the cough gets removed). If you wish to contribute to the album, don't hesitate to contact me. The work officially starts today. Big thanks to Patryk Lichota for recording my voice and old guitar in Poznań, Poland. It was right after my intimate show at Rozbrat where I performed my "old favorites". Here is a video from this performance:

The book will be experimental poetic prose gathering my life experiences 2001-2021. It will be about life, love, and all the bullshit in between... inspired by all the usual inspirations people often attribute to my work.

Also check out http://ajkaufmann.bandcamp.com for new albums on the Swamp Records. They will be added regularly! Thank you! A.J.

"Subscribe to the City" (New poem, 2022/02/09)

in one apartment
where we met the story
and subscribed to the city
on one tape recorder
where we rewind the sidewalks
and speech of birds -
a spectroscope

her(e)
wreath head
at
bloom dawn
gazing picturesquely

seen myself
in emergency
troubling sayings

god is afoot
she is the street

passing, her head touched the ice
melting sorrows
deep in phantasmagoria

not the moon I could touch
but what was around
or ought
to be

in one apartment
where tape recorders run
we recognized the pattern

there is no reason to wake up
there is no meaning
in remaining
asleep

so go
into the bloom
and forever

and if you feel the journalist's urge
go
subscribe to the city
submarines
await
your patience
