Quipu

let me unriddle those talking knots
all is a wheel & all must return
word garlands
reading color
codex
where
the queen of a hundred lovers
welcomes the poet
prince of spades
under feathered snake
Pyramid shadow
& their children start
the new age's
conquest:
no clay puppets
no half-men
of the first
creation
no strings hangin'
down from the moon
the theremin willows
gaze at

Cancer/Aquarius
& that's about it...

that is the man's jilted journey

what legends unreadable
still remain
what incomprehensive
facts
are truer
& weary
what lurks at the Sun Lake's
bottom

try breaking
the bearded white men's
return rule...

books burnin' on stakes
stars shake in their bearing

Golden Man, where are you
where are the stove
lucky devils
giving their way
to the fifth sun savior...
